FSH overview
FSH, also known as follicle-stimulating hormone, is secreted by the pituitary gland. The main function of the female is the development that promotes ovary and mature. FSH works with luteinizing hormone (LH) to promote the production of estrogen and ovulation by mature follicles, and is involved in normal menstrual formation. A normal value of 5 to 40 mIU/ml is important for the treatment of infertility. Too low FSH value was found in ovarian insufficiency, ovarian hypoplasia, pituitary precocious puberty, primary amenorrhea and other symptoms.
